So what is a Buttercup Bag?
This is a photo of one I made for my daughter last week using using a gorgeous needlecord and adding a recessed zipper and a longer strap.
The Buttercup Bag is a small handbag which can be made from a FQ of your favourite fabric plus a little bit less for lining. It has been designed by Rae Hoekstra and she has made the pattern FREE for instant download via her site Made by Rae. The pattern is available to download here.
The challenge is simple download the FREE pattern using the link above. The challenge will run from Sunday 5th August to Saturday 11th August.
The bag can be as simple or as extravagant as you would like to make it as long as it follows the basic pattern.
You can use any fabric of your choice, want to use a button or zip instead of a magnetic snap or add an accessory then go for it
We will choose our favourite bag at the end of the week and the winner will get the full pattern and licence (or equivalent if you already have it)
Happy Sewing
